If you’re a dog agility competitor, a trainer responsible for creating class courses or a facility owner juggling multiple instructors, then you probably already know that training agility sequences and full courses is essential.
After all, it's what every agility competition is based on.
I'm also betting that you probably already know that having quality sequence and course setups is critical for training and developing those agility skills for competition, as well as identifying strengths and weaknesses.
UNDERESTIMATING THE SKILL OF DESIGN
(or worse, not recognizing the value in quality sequences & courses)
Creating a successful sequence or course may not look particularly hard or complicated. But there are DOZENS of design guidelines and potential missteps along the way.
What design software to use? How to layout the obstacles? How much room does a dog path require? What makes a course flow?
These are just some of the MANY questions you would have to address when attempting to replicate designs similar to those you'll be up against in competition.
Most handlers approach their agility training setups without a plan, they simply "toss some numbers out there". But the thing is, you can't treat the quality of your sequences or courses as a "thing to guess at". That's because the quality of your sequences and courses is DIRECTLY LINKED to the quality in which your agility skills are tested...all in preparation for that upcoming trial you entered and paid for.
It's time to recognize what quality sequence and course design brings to your own training - VALUE - to test your agility skills on.
And with your permission, that's what I'd LOVE to provide for you.

My course design philosophy and your training!
20+ Year Sequence & Course Designer
The key to designing quality sequences and courses is understanding how to balance a smooth path for the dog, create appropriate, relevant and motivating challenges for the handler, understand obstacle placement and spacing as well as, tying it all together with my vision of the amazing run that is possible...even when the handler doubts their own ability.
My ideal sequence or course is one where the dog's path is smooth when drawn on paper and the handler bears the responsibility to get themselves from side to side to direct their dog to success.
With over 20+ years of sequence and course design experience as a trainer and agility judge, I have created well over 75,000 agility designs to date. I proudly design for all dog types and handler abilities.
I'm honored to make my course design passion and experience available to your agility team for the next year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q.How will I access my sequences and courses?
A.You will access your sequences and courses online, through a secured website. You will receive your log-in credentials via email on the first day the program begins.
Q.What do I need to access my courses?
A.An internet connection and any Internet ready device. This includes a computer, smart TV, laptop, tablet and mobile device.
Q.Do I have to view my courses online?
A.While you will need to go online to login to the secured website, you will be able to save them to your device and/or print a paper copy.
Q.What is the format for this program?
A.Great question! This program is set-up in 4-week training cycles. On weeks 1-3 you will receive sequence maps that include multiple numbered options. On the 4th week you will receive 2 courses that incorporate some of the sequences from the first 3 weeks and 1 mini-course (that will incorporate 1-2 sequences from the first 3 weeks)…but you won’t know which ones until the course map is available!
Q.How Does The Annual Lifetime Price Lock Work?
A.All first tier Alumni (sign-up between Feb 10-March 5, 2017) and second tier Alumni (sign-up between July 5-July 10, 2017) are granted a lifetime price lock at the annual price they signed-up at. To be eligible to keep their price lock, they must be an Alumni in good standing, current on their annual payment and are in compliance with the Terms of Service as the Policies and Procedures.
Q.How Does The 30-Day Money Back Performance Guarantee Work?
A.I do have a strict money back performance guarantee because I only want to work with people who are serious and want to follow through on their commitment to train their dog in agility. Basically, within the first 30-days to be eligible I simply ask that you provide video proof that you trained the sequences and/or courses (more detail is on the Terms of Service page). If the criteria (on the Terms of Service) has been met and this isn’t the program for you, I will refund 100% of your money.
Q.When Does the Program Start?
A.July 10, 2017. On that day you will receive your log-in information as well as your first training sequence.
Q.What Equipment Will Be Included in the Sequences and Courses? What If I Don't Have an Obstacle??
A.The sequences and courses will rotate through all agility equipment. The sequences and courses are flexible so if you do not have an obstacle or your dog is not yet fully trained on an obstacle, feel free to swap it out with something that you do have.
Q.What Size Course Area Will I Need?
A.Remember, all sequences and courses can be scaled down and space will depend on equipment used each week.
Sequences are designed for smaller spaces (those with larger spaces can add equipment in if desired) and can be done in around the 50×50 or smaller range (unless the dog walk is used, but that can easily swap that out for a smaller piece of equipment) and, as I mentioned, sequence spacing can generally be scaled down.
Course size will vary, however they will be full courses (for those who want that large spacing challenge) that can be scaled down (for those who may be limited by spacing). Some course spacing will be long and narrow, some square. This allows for a variety of challenge options.
Q.What Venue of Agility Courses Will This Be Suitable For?
A.AKC, USDAA, UKI, UKC, International Style, NADAC (with some equipment adjustments) and Teacup (with some space adjustment).
Q.I see that you have special pricing for 4-H Leaders. How do I know if I qualify?
A.Yes, I am proud to provide special pricing for 4-H groups! To qualify, please provide proof that you are a 4-H Leader. This may be different for each group, but could include a letter from the head of your local 4-H, a copy of the exempt status of the club, etc. Contact me at AgilityOne (at) Gmail.com (replace the at with an @ sign) and I’ll work with you.
